Peyton Gets the Monkey Off His Back

Peyton Manning has finally silenced his critics (including myself) and led the Indianapolis Colts to the Super Bowl. For a while, it looked like history was going to repeat itself, with the Patriots jumping out to a 21-3 lead in the first half. If anyone says they thought Indy would come back after Samuel's "pick six", they are lying. But this time, Peyton did not crumble. Peyton lead his team to 32 second-half points to overcome his old nemesis and into Miami. Not only did Manning make the plays that needed to be made, so did the much-criticised Indianapolis defense. The historically-bad Colt run defense allowed only 8 rushing yards in the second half and made the game-sealing interception after Tom Brady led the Pats into Indy territory.

This Super Bowl matchup between the Colts and Bears looks to be a good one. As an Indiana native, I have to say I will be cheering for Indy. Here's looking forward to a great Super Bowl!
